adventures in biking and commuting…

Single Speed Project: 03

This is a reprint of a series of three posts I made last year that documented my conversion of a 2006 Gary Fisher Opie to a single speed mountain bike. This is post 3 of 3.

After the conversion was completed the newly converted single speed worked like a dream. It continued on as my daily commuter until February of 2009 when I purchased my Lemond Fillmore. The Opie is still being put to good use by my oldest daughter who is now using it as her daily commuter. There are a lot of fine mountain bikes out there but I will always be fond of the Gary Fisher Opie.
